Our Mission

Our Story
At Complete Balance Neuro Acupuncture & Rehab, our work began with a simple belief — that meaningful healing happens when care is individualized, timely, root-focused, and thoughtfully integrated. No two healing journeys are the same.
Founded by Hyo Joo Esther Yoo, RTCMP, R.Ac, our clinic is rooted in over 18 years of clinical experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. What began as a small, intimate practice grew from a deep desire to share knowledge that had the power to change lives.
Through years of international training under world-renowned masters — including the late Dr. Richard Tan (Balance Method), the late Dr. Wei Chieh Young (Tung Acupuncture), Jeffrey Yuen (Classical Chinese Medicine), and Dr. Ming Qing Zhu (Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture) — as well as clinical internship training at Jinjiang Hospital in Fujian, China, Esther witnessed firsthand how early acupuncture intervention could dramatically support recovery in conditions such as stroke and spinal cord injury.
Eight years ago, this vision expanded into a multidisciplinary neurological rehabilitation clinic, intentionally bridging Eastern and Western medicine. Today, Complete Balance is one of the largest Traditional Chinese Medicine clinics in Ontario and the only Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture–certified clinic in Toronto, offering individualized, integrative care designed to help each patient reach their maximum healing potential.
Your Healthcare Team
Complete Balance is a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to treating the whole person—neurological, physical, internal and emotional—with compassionate, integrative care.
Our team brings together practitioners trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, psychotherapy, naturopathic medicine, chiropractic care, physiotherapy, massage therapy and more. Together, we design treatment plans that support your body, mind and nervous system as a whole.
